We are using the MP3398A to drive a LCD panels 3 x LED string backlight on a product, this is working fine and is in production.
We are now designing a different system that has just one LED string. This string requires more current than the MP3398A can supply on one LED channel. Is it possible to parallel up the channels on the MP3398A and if so do we need balancing resistors ?

It is not recommended to parallel the strings of this LED driver since we cannot guarantee its performance.
We have several single channel LED drivers that would likely be a better fit like the MP33XX series.
