Hello,
I will start playing with MP3314G very shortly - I ordered development board with this IC.
I noted in datasheet there is information about OTP - on the first page: “One-Time Programmable (OTP) Memory to Configure Default Register Values” and on page 20: “The MP3314 can change the register default values one time thru the OTP function.”. I2C Register Map on page 21 has also note: “All registers can be written to a customized default value one time.”.
I do not want to brick my development boards
as I need to do many tests and measures before setting final mode of work for my application. Is that true I can set any writable register in this IC only once? These IC is used as back-light driver, so it seems unavoidable in such application to change eg. PWM_DUTY_H and _L register many times through I2C interface. I also want to change parameters in I2C registers in my application and now I am not sure if that is possible.
I cannot find any other clarification about he OTP function in the datasheet, but maybe someone already played with this chip and have some experience in this subject?
Kind regards,
Artur
