Hi, been using this sensor a number of years now and its pretty awesome in out BLDC system. However I have a new application where the max RPM is 100KRPM. I do not use positioning, only UVW outputs. Max RPM is stated as 60KRPM. Is this a hard limit on this device? Or is there an alternative device that may be more suitable?
Best Regards
Andre
Hello, glad to see you back again after a few years. Happy to know the MA302 has served you well.
To speak directly on the 60k RPM, this isn’t a hard limit as exceeding this speed using the MA302 as it would work well into the 100k RPM range. There is a jitter threshold to be aware of here, but the MA302 has been tested up to this speed.
For a good magnetic sensor that is fully differential, has a digital angle readout that supports I2C /SPI, and also has a UVW Interface like the MA302, consider looking at the MA900.
Let me know if you are able to access the datasheet on the website. Both these angle sensors are perfectly capable of this speed.
Best,
Krishan
