MP28254 and MP28252 devices with top marking of 2825 along w/date code

We are a CM with customer furnished MP28254 and MP28252 devices with top marking of just 2825 and a date code. They are working fine in the assemblies that use MP28254, but the ones on assemblies that require MP28252 are failing. Can someone tell me if these parts were ever issued like that or are they most likely counterfeit?

Hello @gbrown,

It’s difficult to determine with just the part number. Can you share the top marking code(Picture would be great) for both the parts and where did you get these parts from?

Saquib, as I mentioned “top marking of just 2825 and a date code”. Unfortunately, no photos are allowed.

Okay. I finally found the Part Markinf documentation on the MPS website.
What the Test Engineer thought was date code was incorrect as the part number actually continues onto the next line.
They have a 3 Amp device where it should be a 2 Amp device.
Problem solved. Thank you!
