MP2787 High current through cell taps

Hi MPS-Team,

We’re working with the MP2787 on a new product for a customer, we have a strange issue where in sleep mode we are seeing current of ~17mA through the cell taps.

We are using 200 Ohm RCELL_FLT resistors with 100nF CCELL_FLT capacitors which have both been checked as correct.

Schematic:

The connection that goes off the screen to the top of the image goes to an ORing circuit which is currently out of use and separated.
“Vin” feeds a buck converter.
These shouldn’t impact the current drawn from each cell tap? The only path for current that I see is through each tap into the IC?

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Ben

Hi,
Thanks for utilizing MPS forum,

Can you please clarify how the 17mA is being measured? are you seeing this on the GUI or using a DMM across the channel Cell taps?

In this shutdown mode, are you keeping the 3.3V supply pin active or disabled?

Kind Regards,
Nouman
