According to the datasheet of MP2760, the system short circuit protection will recover after 375ms if the fault is removed.
May I know is this only applicable in Charge Mode where DC source is available?
Based on the testing we had conducted (shorted SYS to GND without DC source), the Vsys will stay at 1.5V to 1.8V after fault is removed and did not recovery back to the initial voltage.
May I know if this is the correct behavior?

SCP should be applicable in charge mode regardless of whether DC source is available.
It should be able to recover as indicated by the datasheet.
It is most likely that the short is still present.
