MP2760 never going into charge termination

I’m using a MP2760 to charge a 4S battery pack and everything except of charge termination seems to work as expected.

VBATT_REG is set to 16.4V, ITERM is 200mA and TERM_EN is 1 (enabled).

After charging the battery using CC to 16.4V, the state changes to CV with a charge current (according to IBATT_ADC) of around 500mA. This current slowly drops to 0 but the CV state remains. I would expect that after IBATT_ADC drops below 200mA the state should change to charge termination.

What could I have missed here? And how could I debug this?

I believe I found the cause for it:
As soon as I set VIN_MIN to a value of 4.8V or above, the “Charge termination” state is not reached anymore. With 4.72V it works as expected. VIN is always 5V in my case.

I can live with this value but maybe someone is able to explain me the cause for this behavior?
