MP2760 Battery charger ICs doubts

Hi
I have few doubts clarification in the MP2760 IC.

1.PD controller (CCG3PA ) is used for product development only, right?
2.In the actual project, no need to include / consider PD Controller in PCB board. During mass production MP2760 Can be programmed via I2C interface
3. IC can be programmed via OTP option only one time, right?
4. IC Can programmed via I2C multiple times right?
5. Can I disable battery temp sense pins (8,9.10) ? If yes, what is the procedure? Moreover, we have a dedicated BMS from Battery back so, same temp signal tap it from BMS and feed to MPS IC pins (9&10) .
6. Plan to buy a MPS 2760 EVM for development ,need to buy a MPS 2760 EVM board + USB to I2C communication interface with cables right?

Please clarify our doubts and understanding is correct or not.

Hi @sendhil,

Yes, the device can be programmed via I2C.
Yes, it can only be one time programmed.
It can be configured multiple times via I2C. After every power cycle it will go back to the OTP settings.
For NTC:

As far as you try to keep within the bounds (found in the EC table), the IC will operate normally, else it would give a fault condition.
The NTC pin calculates the temp based the change in the resistance of the thermistor.
Yes, get the EVB and you can use simple i2c connection to configure using MCU, or else you can but the dongle and directly connect to laptop and use our GUI.
