MP2731 schematics

Hi!
Following this ticket , I’ve decided to try and incorporate a USBC-PD and USB BC1.2 capable solution (MP2731+ CCG3PA) as described in mp2731-usb-pd-reference-design.

I’d like to make sure that the schematics shown is all I need. Specifically, since I want to connect an MCU to the D- D+ lines for USB2 communication, I think I will need a USB mux on the D- D+ lines as mentioned in this ticket.
Am I correct?

There should be no issues in connecting the DP/DM (D+/D-) lines to the MCU for USB2 communication.

You are also correct in using a mux where if both the MCU and MP2731 need access, you must MUX the D+/D- lines as they can’t be actively driving at the same time. Wouldn’t want any chance for corrupted data or anything here upon transmission/receiving.
