MP2731 ADC sampling when discharging

Hi,
I am working on a project using the MP2731 charger. According to the datasheet, it seems that ADC readings are not available during battery discharging. This is an issue because my system needs to sample the battery voltage even while discharging.
What is the recommended way to handle this:

  1. Enter and exit OTG mode each time I need to read the ADC?
  2. Or is there a better approach?

In MP2731, the ADC readings are unavailable during battery discharging. We recommend MP2733- it is pin to pin with the MP2731 but has enhanced ADC feature. MP2733 supports sampling battery voltage during discharge.
