MP2724 VCC LDO Max Current

Hi all! I can’t seem to find the maximum current output that the internal LDO on VCC can provide. I intend on supplying 2 LEDs for stat and PG for a total of 40mA. My experience with the MP2625 would suggest this arrangement would be fine, but I’d appreciate feedback from an engineer.
Thank you!

Hello, welcome to the MPS Forums!

The datasheet mentions a current of Ivcc = 5mA once in the electrical characteristics when Vin = 5V. I would expect that the LDO current wouldn’t deviate from this value. I am aware that this isn’t exactly a maximum value though.

As a note for your implementation, here is what the datasheet further explained with VCC:

VCC’s main purpose here is to supply power to the internal control logic and gate drivers where logic pull ups are the only recommended external applications.

The typical current draw of a logic pull-up is on the order of uA, so I would suggest indicator LEDs in this range for this IC just to be safe. The typical application had LEDs on these pins, so just keep the following information in mind here and you should be good!
