I see the evaluation board has a GUI for programming the MP2723, but I guess the registers are reset on a power cycle. There is the register information in the datasheet, but is there any API/firmware/driver for use in C++/C or otherwise that would allow to easily adjust the parameters via a microcontroller host (as opposed to a Windows machine)? If not are there any charger chips out there that have such an API to speed up design time?

We do not have any API/firmware/driver for any of our MPS chargers. Apologies for the inconvenience.
The MP2723 uses an I2C-compatible interface to set the charging parameters and instantaneously
report the device status.
