MP2722 LDO max load current

The datasheet for the MP2722 only mentions that the built-in LDO “is not recommended for excess loads”, but what is an excess load? Is it 10mA, 100mA, 500mA?

I see that in the typical application section, the LEDs are shown to be powered from the VCC pin, meaning it has to support at least 20-30mA.

Is there any recommendation from MPS about the max load for the LDO?

Hi,
It is not recommended to supply anything from the VCC supply, however typically staying in mA range should be OK, its much lower than 20mA, more so in the 5-10mA range.
