I am looking to use the MP2722 Charger Chip. I would like to use BOOST mode to create a 5V supply but I do not want to route the Boosted 5V to the input, only take it from the PMID PIN. Is there a register configuration that supports this mode?

I don’t think it is possible. Could you elaborate on your input and output specifications? What type of battery are you charging?

The battery charging is all good, using a Li-Ion Cell with inbuilt protection. All works fine with the MP2722.
I need a 5V supply in my system and noticed that the MP2722 is capable of boosting the battery to 5V for Sourcing up to 3A on the USB. On further analysis, it’s far too complex to shoehorn this solution into the product, therefore I will just use the MP2722 as a USB battery charger controller and connector moisture monitor 
On another topic, what is the recommended input filtering and protection between the USB connector and the MP2722?? Do you have a schematic you can share?
