MP2722 as a Battery only mode

Hi,
I’m looking to use the MP2722 as a battery charger IC. I’m planning to use only the battery only mode in my application. I don’t wanna use the input source to power my system load and dynamic power path management options. Is there any solutions available ?

MP2639B | 1S Cell Li-ion or Li-polymer Switching Charger Compatible with Wide Input Range andIntegrated Programmable OTG | MPS (monolithicpower.com) is a similar battery charger with no power pathing. Would this work for your application?
