Hi. I would like to use MP2672A as a 2S battery charger but without balanser option. According DS balanser can be disabled by shorting it to GND.
Im using eval boad to check that in Standalone mode. When MID is shorted to GND and battery + is connected to BATT and battery - to GND, MP2672A is not charging. there is small 10-14mA current flow, STAT LED indicates that is in charging mode. When I connect two separate 1S LiPo and connect MID between as in regular mode MP2672A works properly. Is this is a bug in this IC or Im missing something? I cannot use I2C it must be standalone version.
