MP2665A PPM Question

Hi,

Looking over the MP2665A datasheet, there’s a timer2x setting that has the following properties:
0: Disable the 2x
extended safety timer during PPM;
1: Enable the 2x
extended safety timer during PPM

What is the PPM referring to in this case as it’s not defined as far as I can tell in the datasheet and I’m not clear on what would cause the timer to extend into PPM.

Hi @k23,

PPM - Power Path Management.
REG06H is a Miscellaneous operation control register, so depending on specific application, and if you’re using PPM, you can extended the safety timer 2x. If you do not want the extended safety time you can disable it by setting the bit to 0 ; by default it has been set to 1.
