I want to make an active balancer.The Mp2642 is standalone or needs mcu??How many mp2642 in series can I use??

Here is the typical application of the MP2642. An MCU is not needed for this IC:
This IC can actively balance charge between 2 cells. So if you have more than that, you can use one of these ICs for every 2 series cells.
