MP2639A NTC Fault when battery is not connected

I am designing a charger that connects to an external battery. When USB power is supplied, but the battery is not connected, the NTC voltage is such that I get an NTC error because the thermistor from the battery is not part of the voltage divider circuit. Is there a way to disable the NTC fault when the battery is NOT attached?

Hello, unfortunately, the only way to disable the NTC fault is to ensure that the resistor divider settings used, combined w/ the additional NTC thermistor of the battery, fall within the allowable range “pre-programmed” to fall within the temperature settings adhering to JEITA as this is one of the most important safety features of the device.
