The chip is working as it is supposed to (Vbatt is within 200 mV of Vsys) but your concern about losing 0.1 v is also valid. There can be many factors like component size, layout, which might affect the best performance of the parts. For such cases, It is highly recommended to use our eval boards ensuring the parts best performance.
