MP2617 HGL-Z - Battery Charging Stops At 4VDC

I am using the MP2617HGL-Z battery charger IC. According to the datasheet, setting a resistor divider of 28 kΩ (top) and 10 kΩ (bottom) should configure the regulation voltage to approximately 4.3 V.

However, in my design the charger stops charging when the battery reaches around 4.0 V, and it never rises to the expected 4.1 V.

Could you please help clarify why charging terminates at ~4.0 V instead of the configured 4.1 V, and what conditions or settings might be causing this behavior?

Hello Suwin,

  1. To start with are you referring to the resistor divider at the SYSFB pin? if yes then have you tried using 26.5k instead of 28k

  1. Can you kindly let me know what resistor value you’re using at the ISET pin to program charge current ?
