Hello,
I use the MP2615GQ IC to charge the 2s lithium polymer battery. I have input currents of 2 different inputs, 12V 2A and 12V 0.25A. If I choose the Rs1 resistor (current sensor resistance) as 50m ohm (2A) for the programmable CC charging current, could there be a problem for my circuit if the input providing 0.25A current is used?
Thanks in advance for your answer.
Hi,
If you use 50m ohms Rs1 for your 0.25A input, the input power is 12V0.25A=3W, but the output power is 7V2A=14W approximately, so it is impossible. You can not use 50m ohms Rs1 for your 0.25A input.
Best,
Fox
thanks for your answer. As I said, there will be two different attempts to be used at different times. Even if I use the input with low power value (3W) and the resistor value is 50m ohms, shouldn’t the output current provide 3/7 = 0.42 amperes? And will this cause any problems for integrated operation?
