MP26101 nCHGOK signal issue

I am designing a 2-cell charging circuit with the MP26101. The problem I am currently facing is as follows:

nCHGOK remains in a low state even though the battery is not connected. As a result, the LED connected with VREF33 is in the ON state. The nCHGOK should only turn the LED ON when the battery is charging

I referenced the circuit on the first page of the datasheet.

I want to solve this problem and would like to hear opinions from experienced individuals or experts

I suspect you are not going to find much joy. The battery terminals are at 4.2V and the charge current is zero, sounds like a charged battery to me. Perhaps you can manually detect the “no battery” condition by looking at the therm pin and then AND that in with the /CHGOK signal.

Not an MPS employee, this advice is worth what you paid for it
