MP2490 feedback and bootstrap capacitor choices

The datasheet for this device recommends choosing R1 in the feedback network at 300kΩ. The simulator (MPSApps3.14) Typically recommends an R1 value at least 2.5x larger when configured for 3.3V output when powered by 36V for example. We have seen this increase up to 1.15MΩ when trying to tune the device for optimum performance. The datasheet implies that this changes the feedback loop bandwidth, but is not clear what the impact is.

The datasheet suggests a value of 10nF for the bootstrap capacitor. The simulator consistently recommends 100nF. Could you please clarify which is the most appropriate choice and maybe indicate the pros and cons of smaller and larger values?

Many thanks.
