mEZDPD4506AS Circuit Review

hello.

I am curious about the mEZDPD4506AS product.

I would like to combine 2 channels into one channel and output 12V to 7V@6A.

I plan to program it myself using Virtual Bench Pro.
What common part number for mEZDPD4506AS should I purchase?

For example, can I purchase MEZDPD4506AS-84D9 from Digi-Key and reprogram it?
Or should I order it as CUSTOM PN?

FB1 and FB2 in the datasheet are indicated as shown below.
Can FB1 be floated? Is FB2 actually a pull-up? Is it correct to pull down?
In the application block diagram, FB2 is tied to GND, but the FB2 description says to tie it to High.

The circuit below excludes FB1/2 processing.
Could you please do a review?

Thanks.

Hello Kyu,

I would say that it would be best to order a custom part such that you would be able to receive the board with the specs that you have without any reprogramming.

The function of FB1 is to sense the feedback voltage for channel 1 across the output. Since you are looking to combine channels into one, then only one single FB pin would be used while the other would be left floating. You can ground FB2 and follow the schematic if you don’t want to use the error amplifier. However if you do want to use FB2 for error amplifier sensing, then place that between your resistor external divider if you have one. With this logic in mind and after reviewing your schematic, your setup looks good.

Let me know if there are any questions.

Best,
Krishan

Hi, Krishan.

I understand that there will be no problem if I design it like a block diagram.

If the feedback MUX is not programmed, which is connected to VOUT_S or FB?

thanks
