MCS1826 output noise filtering

Is there a recommended filtering for the output of the MCS1826 ? I can see on the eval board a provision for a cap.

Thanks

Just to clarify, are you referring to the capacitor C2 here?

Are you expecting to see any sharp edges or transients? What are you measuring?

If C2 would be populated for overshoot and ringing. Generally, though, so long as you are not going past the frequency bandwidth of 120kHz, then you should be good without C2 populated as is reflected in the typical application. Let me know.

Krishan

I’m measuring DC current, but I see ringing of about 50 to 90mA on the 10A part.

Do you have any news on this ?

Hello François,

Sorry about the delayed response. Is it actually ringing, meaning that it has a specific frequency, or random noise? Could you please share an oscilloscope screenshot?

Best,

Carmine
