Could you please recommend a linear charger for earbud with lithium battery that has the smallest package size? My input voltage is from 5V USB.
MPS offers an array of linear chargers that are compatible with lithium batteries. Two especially small parts that are particularly intended for use with wearable devices and headphones are the MP2660 and MP2661. It uses USB input and is offered in our WLCSP-9 package which is only 1.55x1.55mm.
Hi Sir,
If I want to has LED to show charge status but not through I2C, has any part you recommend?
My requirement is need standalone, power path, charge statue, small size (WCSP).
Thanks~
Hi driscoll.tasi,
Thank you for contacting MPS. We actually offer a few battery charger standalone parts with the LED fuel gauge, however most if not all of these parts are in our QFN package. This is a small package but not the same as WCSP.
I’m not sure what specs you need to hit here. I can get more specific once I am aware of what you are looking for, but some initial parts to look at would be:

Hi Sir,
thanks for your reply, but the size you suggest are too big and also need external inductor, these solutions can’t put in my PCB.
BTW, for MP2662, could I can get charge status and fault info through INT-PIN to HOST (GPIO)?
if yes, how to judgment? there are seldom information in datasheet.
thanks~
