I am planning to use the MP3336A in a new project and have a question regarding its application.
In our design, we are using a fixed 5V power supply and do not intend to use the DC mode output (VOUT). According to the datasheet reference, the SW pin is typically connected to an inductor. However, in our case, we are not planning to use the boost function, meaning VOUT will not be used.
In this setup, could you please advise how the SW pin should be handled when the boost function is not used? Some reference designs from other vendors suggest connecting VIN directly to SW without an inductor in such cases. Would this approach be applicable to the MP3336A as well?
