How to handle the SCL and SDA pins on the MPM54304GMN-0001

Since the MPM54304GMN-0001 can output the desired voltage using a resistor divider method, I don’t think I need to use I2C in this case. In this situation, how should the SCL and SDA pins be connected? I believe pull-up resistors are typically required, but in my current design, I am using VIN at 12V. I assume pull-up resistors on this line would not be appropriate, so should I use a resistor divider to step down to 3.3V and then apply pull-up resistors? Could you please advise on the recommended method?

Hello,

Yes, pull up resistors would be needed in this case. The absolute maximum voltage for the SCL/SDA pins is 4V. I recommend pulling I2C to 3.3V via resistor divider or external supply.
