Guidance on Using MPF52000 with MP4255 for Dual-Port, Power-Sharing 65 W PD Design

I’m working on a dual-port, power-sharing 65 W USB Power Delivery design using MP4255 + 2 × MP5031. However, I’m considering switching the power stage to use MP4255 + MPF52000 instead. I have a few questions:

  1. The MPF52000 datasheet is still listed as “preliminary.”

    • Is this part not yet recommended for new designs?

    • Is there a roadmap for when a production-grade datasheet/revision will be available?

  2. What design-support resources does MPS offer for MPF52000?

    • Application notes, reference design schematics / PCB layouts?

    • Evaluation kits or development boards?

    • Simulation models (SPICE, IBIS) for evaluating thermal and efficiency behavior?

  3. Can I get access to pre-production samples for validation?

  4. For a 65 W, dual-port USB PD, power-sharing system, are there any MPS-recommended topologies or best practices when using MP4255 + MPF52000 together?

  5. Is there technical support or a design-in team at MPS I can engage with to run my architecture by them?

Thanks in advance for any guidance or pointers — I’m very interested in evaluating MPF52000 for this power-sharing design.

Am I pinging this thread to see if I can get support. Thanks.
