Hi MPS Team,
I’m trying to set an external precharge ciruit for the MP2797. However, I would like to use the SBYDSG pin (41) to do so instead of the GPIOHV1. From the devkit, i see that it is able to drive the PFET so would it be possible to use that pin for precharge? In addition, when trying to test precharge by turning on the SBYDSG pin, I have the configuration to simple mode and register control instead of GPIO and have a load of 20mA. The power state goes from SAFE to ACTIVE but not ACTIVE to standby. I have standby enable and PFET enabled. I have also tried to do Direct mode and only turn on CHG but that also does not change the power state to standby. If I want to control the CHG and DSG FETs sepeartely, would I need to change from register control to GPIO control (FET_SRC bit) and route the GPIO1 (Pin 36) and GPIO 2 (Pin 35) to the uC to enable them separately?
Thank you for addressing the questions
