EVL28167-A-Q-00A Transient Performance

Hi Experts,

If there any solution to improve the transient performance of MP28167A ?

My condition is below,

Vin : 4.75~5.25
Vout : 5V, Imax : 2.5A
Transient Condition : 0.5A~2A @ 1KHz, Slew Rate : 1A/uS

I install the Vout cap to 150uF, the Vout Transient min : 4.5V, Max : 5.5V, My expect criteria is 4.75~5.25V.

Hello,

There are several ways to improve the transient performance.
They should all help, but will have varying degrees of effectiveness.
I would recommend trying the following:

  1. Increase output capacitance Cout
  2. Add Cff, feed forward capacitor
  3. Increase switching frequency to 750kHz

I would recommend testing different capacitor sizes to see what best improves the transient.
