EV2672A-D-00A battery charge too high

Hi,

I’m evaluating the EV2672A-D-00A evualuation board. When I connect a battery to the board, I see a charge current >2A. I need to limit my power supply for this. It looks like the charge limit is not working.

I changed the jumper from i2c to 8.4V so it should be in standalone mode. I see a resistor R1SET assembled with a value of 6K. So this should limit it to 500mA.

What can be wrong here?

@gueston Any news on this ?
The answer from support didn’t help much.
if you have a 6k Riset, then 2A is the limit, not 500mA.
Is it what you see, or you still see above 2A ?
