EV2639A-R-00A Charge current low

So I have this EV2639A-R-00A and I have set the input current to 3.5A @ 5V, but the current going to the battery is only 1.6A @ 8.4V. I have set RISET to the max it will go with trim resistor soldered in place of the SMD resistor, but the max current going to the battery is 1.6-1.7A. Current from the MID pin is 0A.

Any ideas? Thank you!

Hello,

Please check the battery recommended charge current, Riset is 84.5k for 2.5A, and if the battery is towards the end of full charge operating from CC to CV mode.
