Hi,
I got an MMP742105-24-C Smart Motor Module together with the eMotion System Communication Kit and the eMotion Virtual Bench Software.
In videos advertising this product, it is shown that an automatic parameter identification process can be performed, see: Controlling a Linear Actuator with a High Performance BLDC Motor | Video | MPS
I do not find this option in the currently available eMotion Virtual Bench Software (version 18.0).
Is a newer version of this software available? Is some kind of firmware update needed?
Thanks for your help.

Hi rslorder,
I am still working on getting this information for you. My engineers have been on vacation this past week, I’m hoping to have some information for you next week when they are back. I will update when I have something for you.

Any update on this topic?
Hi rslorder, at this time I do not have an update. I can try sending another note to our product engineers, thank you for your patience on this.

Hi there,
As far as I know this feature will be available to the general public in Q1 2021, and there will be a dedicated Evaluation Kit for it.
Cheers,
Nicolas.

is there any update on this topic?
Hello,
I don’t know if you have seen (or if you have been in contact with MPS through another channel than this technical forum), but there is now the MMC36720 motor controller module that integrates the parameter identification feature and the loop auto-tuning,
Best regards,
Nicolas
