Designing with MP2760

Hello Team,
We are planning to design a 4S battery charger using the IC MP2760.
Our input adapter is 12VDC rated.
Output voltage - 4*4.2V = 16.8V (so we need to use a boost/buck-boost battery charger)
Charging current - >2A.
No processor communication (standalone battery charger).
NTC to measure the battery temperature.
MP2760 has an I2C to communicate with the host controller.
Can I leave the I2C pins floating?
Or can you suggest any standalone battery chargers for our application?

Looking for your reply.

Hello Team,
Awaiting your response

Hello Team,
Any updates

Hello Shibin,

Apologies for the delay. For the MP2760’s i2c pins, it is best to tie them to a known state even if you are not planning on using them. Place a resistor between each i2c pin and AGND to tie it down to ground. It is not recommended to leave them floating.

Best,
Jonathan Hidalgo
