Clarification and Assistance Required for MP6539 IC Order

Dear Sir/Madam,

I am currently using the MP6539 gate driver for my BLDC motor controller design application, and we have successfully tested it under no-load conditions. However, after placing multiple orders for this IC’s, we have been receiving the M6539B variant instead of the MP6539.

For your reference, please find the following details:

  • The IC labeled as MP6539 with MPSP25 (shown in Image 1, right side) is the one we need.
  • The IC labeled as M6539B with MPSP09 (shown in Image 1, left side) is not compatible with our application.

We placed our orders through Digi-Key and Mouser using the part number MP6539BGV-P, as shown in Image 2. Based on this part number, we expected to receive the MP6539 with MPSP25 IC.

Additionally, we ordered another variant (MP6539GV-P) as shown in Image 3, but its package is entirely different from the one displayed in Image 1.

Our project deadlines are fast approaching, and this issue is significantly impacting our progress. Could you please clarify the exact manufacturer part number we should use to ensure we receive the MP6539 with MPSP25 IC, as shown in Image 1?

Furthermore, we currently have 30 units of the incorrect ICs, which are not usable for our project. Is there any way to replace them with the correct ICs if we place a new order through Mouser or Digi-Key?

Your prompt assistance in this matter would be greatly appreciated.

Hello,

If you choose to look further on Digikey, please be sure not to order the MP6539BGV-P as this would correspond to the MP6539B.

The MP6539GV-P should correspond to the MP6539, so ordering this would be the choice I would recommend for you.

As shown from the image in the datasheet, ending info on the IC package GV corresponds to the package type of QFN-28 (4mm x 5mm) which is what I am assuming you are looking for based on Image 1. The ending package type with GF corresponds to the package type of TSSOP-28 EP.

For the incorrect ICs, it would be best to try and return them if you can with DigiKey if possible.
