Can MP1584's EN pin be connected to GROUND without damaging the IC?

I’m modifying an existing PCB design that uses MP1584EN. The modification’s goal is to detect presence/absence of 28V on an input to the PCB and, if present, disable a MP1584 on the PCB using its EN (enable) pin. My question is can MP1584’s EN pin be connected to GROUND without damaging the IC?

Random weirdo here but it would be shocking to me if that caused damage. Connect it ground via a 1k resistor if you are worried about it though.

EN pin on page 6 shows it being switched digitally, so yes would be my answer, the 2 resistors shown are usually to add a low voltage turn off.
BUT
If you are modifying a design, then remember this part is obsolete. The MP2338 will give slightly better efficiency, is smaller, and doesn’t require compensation.
