Hi support
Can I generate 3.3V Vout with MPM3650CGQW from 12V? I only see the recommend Vout range is up to 3.3V. Is there any detail specification? And any feedback resistor suggestion?

Hi,
Yes, if your input voltage is 12V, output voltage can definitely reach 3.3V. In the first page of the datasheet, you can find a plot of efficiency versus output current, and there is a line about 12V input 3.3V output. For 3.3V input, R3 can be 20k, R5 can be 4.44k. There is a equation of how to find the value of feedback resistors in page 15. You can also use that equation to get the resistors you want. In that equation, Vref =0.6V.

Fox
Hi Fox,
What is the upper limit for the Vout of MPM3650CGQW? Is there a specific value for example 3.6V? Which specification I should check in the datasheet?
I checked with some technical support locally, basically pin-to-pin drop-in part MPM3650 is much better in our 3.3V application if we want to set higher voltage. in this case, we could close this ticket.
Hi Tim,
Our recommended Operating output voltage range is 0.6V to 3.3V, but it can definitely operate normally with a little higher voltage. You can see it in page 3. The absolute maximum Vin is 20V, so Vout can reach 3.6V, but we don’t recommend to operate MPM3650CGQW in this situation.
sincerely,
Fox
