Good morning
It’s possible build a driver booster for led like in title with VIN 24V and dimmable with PWM at 10KHz or more?
In your website I find’t

Hello, welcome to the MPS Forums!
So, you are looking for a boost LED driver with Vin= 24V, Vout = 40V, and Iout = 500mA with PWM frequency of 10kHz alongside dimming capabilities? MPS should have something here.
Here are some parts that I can recommend. However not all of them will have the 10kHz PWM frequency you are looking for. All other desired characteristics should be satisfied here.
We do have some automotive grade Boost/Buck-Boost LED Drivers that can certainly handle these requirements as well:
There are plenty of options here. I would recommend reading through the datasheets to ensure that anyone of these parts fit your application. Let me know if there are any questions.

Hi Krishan
There are disponible evaluation board for MPQ2483A ?
I find EVQ2483-S-00A but I don’t understand wiring difference from buck and booster
Also the power for booster seems have 12V limited to Vin
It’s possible write with e-mail ?
In this forum I can’t attached datasheet
Thank you
Hello,
You should be able to attach screen shots by copying and pasting those images directly into your response.
Also, from the EVQ2483-S-00A datasheet, the following graphs can be seen:
The input voltage can go to a maximum of up to 50V according to the efficiency and line regulation graphs here. I do see the top portion of the datasheet that says the input here should be 12V:
Perhaps it would be best to order the eval board and swap components on the board to better suit the following:
Vin = 24V, Vout = 40V, Iout = 500mA
How many LEDs would you be trying to drive?
Also, here is the typical application for a step-up circuit from the MPQ2483A datasheet:
I would encourage you to take a look at some of the other typical application circuits in the other datasheets to find what would be the best implementation for you.

Krishan
Hi Krishan
I need to drive a single COB led at 36V effectly, 500mA, 18W
I choose MPQ2483A because it’s possible variable current output with command DIM
I have this dubt : dimming frequency max are 2KHz ?
Your suggestion are to use a dimmer command only with analog signal ?
Thank you
Hello again,
Yes, it appears that 2kHz is the max PWM frequency for this device.
Is your expected supply supposed to be a 10kHz signal? Can this be adjusted to 2kHz where using an external analog signal to control dimming and this works for your application? If so, then feel free to use the MPQ2483A.
Hi Krishan
The our news 24V power unit have 20KHz pwm for reduce noise and limit EMC
We known modify signal for have analog pwm but this need to other component in the design
We will want to use less component possible and one component with for all comand signal will to be the best
I understand. Unfortunately for our higher voltage LED Boost drivers for all the devices I have included, the max PWM frequency is 2kHz.
Thank you for your cooperation
One more thing to consider,
I just looked through some of our boost LED drivers in our automotive section that I think would fit the application here:
I would encourage you to look through the MPQ3359A datasheet. Let me know if there are any further questions here. Hope this helped.
Best,
Krishan
