Are there any low voltage PFC controllers?

I have an application where 24 VAC, 200W is available from a transformer, and we currently have a typical rectifier /cap power supply generating unregulated 35 VDC. But since we are adding load over 75W, we now need PFC. We don’t have a 120VAC available, but the PFC ICs all seem to be designed for 120 VAC input.

How would they know? The chips run on 15V or so generally and in you case would be boosting 24VAC to 45V DC ( give or take). So pick one without a HV startup device. Silicon General 3561 is the ancestral part, it was introduced 40 years ago give or take.

mp44010 should work fine. for some unknown reason they have decided it won’t work under 85VAC, but that is not so.
