Analog mode of MPM3695-25

Dear support member.

Please teach me what is analog mode.

If I set external divider without PMBus and setting ROM.
In this case. Is this MPM3695-25 output Voltage decided with equation(1) ?
or Am I need to write settings on ROM?

best regards.

Hi Ryota,

The external divider takes priority over PMBus operation for the output voltage. Equation 1 will help you choose the resistor values to set for Vout. No need to write anything to the ROM.

Hi Cecilia

Thank you for answer.

Hi Cecilia

I have add question.

I want to use current sense with virtual bench pro 4.0.
In this case can I using analog mode?

best regards.

Hi Ryota,

It should still be able to read the output current in analog mode in the GUI.

Hi Cecilia

Thank you for answer.

I have add question.
Please teach me how to set this device set to analog mode.

I tested analog mode on EVK.
but It’s not work analog mode.

I’m setting to OTP with GUI and setting the external divider.
In after I turned off power and turn on the power with out PMBus.
In this case it looks to the OTP’s priority is higher than external divider setting.

when I use otp once time can I seting to analogmode?

best regards.

Hi Ryota,

Since the MPM3695GRF-25-0022 has the default settings for internal divider, you will have to set it to external divider and write to the non-volatile memory (NVM).

Hi Cecilia.

Thanks for answer.

I have some question.

1.How default setting values of MPM2316-25-0022.

I understand to need to setting the External divider (D1h) setting.
the Datasheet is written the default value that is already setting External divider.

In this case, Can I use analog mode without setting NVM.
or I need to set NVM?

2.When Virtual Bench Pro4.0 with analog mode.

I can see output Voltage is 0.72V with Oscilloscope when I set register to default value and selected register divider for Vout = 0.72V.

but Virtual Bench shown output voltage is 1.8 V

Is this status right analog mode?

best regards.

Hi Ryota,

  1. In that case, it should be ok to use without setting NVM.
  2. The monitoring in the GUI is assuming the output voltage that is written in the output settings. The measured voltage from your probe should be the correct voltage.

Hi Cecilia.

Thank you for answer.
