Absolute Maximum Ratings - Minimum VIN?

What factor determines the lowest DC voltage that can be applied to the VIN pin of the IC without causing failure or degradation of performance?

What is the failure mechanism when the value referenced in the Absolute Maximum Ratings is exceeded?

Hi Istvan,

Thank you for your post. Typically parts will use an internal regulator that is powered by the Vin rail to power the internal circuitry and biasing inside of our device.

When you fall below the minimum Vin, it’s possible we won’t have enough input voltage to power our device or generate the appropriate biasing.
