Hi,
Ideally I’d like the operation of this to be:

  1. If you connect a valid VIN then the unit enters charge mode.
  2. If you disconnect VIN then it enters BOOST mode.
    Would this be the operation if I have EN connected to VIN, and MODE connected to /ACOK?

You can achieve automatic charge in the presence of an input and automatic boost in input disconnection when you have the following set up:

  • EN connected to VIN

  • MODE connected to VCC (or VIN). I would not connect MODE directly to /ACOK but rather VCC instead.

Hi Brendan,
I checked the connection you told BOOST - VCC and EN- INPUT but it’s not working for charge mode the charge led is blinking which means faulty. Check the evaluation datasheet it is said to make BOOST - LOW and EN- High while charging mode and BOOST- high and EN - Low for boost mode.
Can you please explain to which should BOOST pin be connected?
